Position Summary

Purpose 

Oversee SSR Maintenance Systems and assist in planning of audits for SSR Fleet of equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities

Functions

¿ Develop new maintenance tasks as new hardware is introduced. This will require interface with personnel familiar with the hardware in order to ensure that the task is applicable and safe, as well as to record a baseline time to execute.

¿ Work closely with Service Excellence as well as Technical Support in order to ensure that both maintenance plans and maintenance tasks are relevant to the specific hardware in use.

¿ Work closely with each Service Excellence/Operations Departments in order to ensure maintenance is being conducted in accordance with Oceaneering maintenance standards.

¿ Provide regular executive summaries to Maintenance & Audit Manager

¿ Continually review downtime incidents and equipment failures. Work with Technical Support to modify maintenance plans and/or tasks in order to reduce occurrences of downtime.

¿ Work with Service Excellence and Technical Support in the development and issuance of One-Time Tasks.

¿ Point-of-contact for all questions regarding maintenance issues.

¿ Provide training in the use of the Maintenance system.

¿ In step with regional operations and quality personnel, work toward COPQ elimination as related to equipment design, maintenance, personnel training and execution.

¿ Support all HSE initiatives, participation and assist with Risk identification, mitigation processes such as level III solutions and MOC process.

¿ Assist with any other duties as and when required 

¿ Undertake specific projects as instructed by management 

¿ Demonstrates high level of initiative to accomplish individual objectives assigned as well as team goals.

¿This position has NO supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

Qualifications (Requires Regional Variance)

REQUIRED

¿ BS in engineering or equivalent experience

¿ Minimum of two (2) years’ experience and or training in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

¿ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, and ERP System, PeopleSoft preferred.

¿ Must hold/maintain a valid passport and be able to obtain visas for international travel.

¿ Experience evidencing a strong Business Acumen

¿ Able to work in rotational shifts 42.5 hours (weekly) (Morning, Evening, Night & Weekends) (E)

DESIRED 

¿Offshore / oilfield operational experience

Key Accountabilities

  • Meet objectives for trouble resolution on all regional installation and interfacing of equipment

¿ Guidance of all regional scopes of repair and maintenance for subsea and surface equipment

¿ Police and support quality standards for all subsea and surface equipment components

¿ Execution of all bulletins to the fleet of Subsea Services equipment in regards to changes of process, procedures including component replacement or repair

¿ Maximize regional group efficiencies and cost

¿ Manage and continuously improve overall R&M time and cost working with regional operations.

¿ Ensure through discussion, alignment with all Service Excellence in support requirements.

¿ As required, discuss with Operations Leads compliance with Technical Bulletins, Operational change requirements, and general personnel performance.

¿ As required, discuss with Service Excellence and Technical Support Leads the nature of and level required for Chandigarh support.

This position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows.

¿Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night.

¿Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the workplace. 

¿Work surface is stable (flat).
