Inviting applications for the role of Senior Manager- Project Management Office Manager

The Project Management Office (PMO) Manager is responsible for overseeing project management activities, ensuring efficient budgeting, and forecasting, and facilitating Change Control Board (CCB) meetings. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in project management, financial analysis, and experience in conducting CCB meetings. This role plays a critical part in optimizing project performance, controlling costs, and mitigating risks.

Responsibilities:

1. Project Oversight:

  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Monitor project progress, identify issues, and provide recommendations for resolution.
  • Maintain a comprehensive view of the project portfolio, identifying opportunities for optimization and alignment with business objectives.

2. Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Develop and maintain project budgets in coordination with project managers and finance teams.
  • Conduct financial analysis to ensure projects adhere to budget constraints.
  • Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses.

3. Change Control Board (CCB) Meetings:

  • Plan and facilitate Change Control Board (CCB) meetings to review and approve project changes.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders to assess change requests, risks, and impacts on project timelines and budgets.
  • Document CCB meeting outcomes and communicate decisions to relevant parties.

4. Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to streamline project management processes, enhance efficiency, and improve the quality of project deliveries.
  • Implement best practices and standards in project management.

5. Communication and Collaboration:

  • Foster effective communication among project teams and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project objectives.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications/skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum of [X] years of experience in project management, budgeting, forecasting, and CCB facilitation.
  • Strong financial analysis and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and facilitate meetings effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Knowledge of project management frameworks and best practices.
  • Familiarity with relevant software development lifecycles.
  • Change management and risk mitigation expertise.
