As a Start-up Engineer - Electrical, you will work closely with our existing team and deliver excellent work to our client.

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • To effectively coordinate and provide technical direction to their Commissioning Engineering Team and to Commissioning and Start-up Team on issues pertaining to Electrical Engineering and related area.
  • To assure the design integrity of a specific electrical equipment or a project involving his/her area of expertise.
  • Coordinates the commissioning and start-up activities within his/her expertise to ensure safe initial start-up and subsequent normal operation, within budget, on time and in accordance with the applicable Company Procedures and Technical Specifications.

About You: 

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess a combination of work experience, skills and or qualifications in the following areas:

  • Degree in an Electrical Engineering (B.Sc.).
  • Minimum of 10 years on site commissioning electrical experience. Minimum of 5 years involving oil & gas facilities, pipelines.
  • Minimum 1 year experience with the contractor in the similar position
  • Has experience in HSSE Management System
  • Must have sound basic skills in all branches of commissioning management.
  • Has proven ability to perform Start-up and Commissioning of Plant and Process Systems with high level of quality
  • Familiar with current internationally recognized Codes and Standards such as:

o American Petroleum Institute (API)

o American National Standards Institute (ANSI)

o American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)

o International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC)

o National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA)

o Instrument Society of America (ISA)

o National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)

o National Electrical Code (NEC)

o Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE)

o Insulated Cable Engineers’ Association (ICEA)

o American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM)
