Main Purpose:

Puma Energy is a pioneer global energy company that has a strong presence in Zimbabwe and very soon is going to kick start the construction of multiple solar pv plants in Zimbabwe as part of its global commitments in offering s clean and low-carbon energy solutions .

Puma Energy invites applications from qualified Environment, Health & Safety Expert on full time role to manage solar plant projects and be part of Puma’s Energy’s renewable transition journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement EHS procedures
• Liase and approve 3-party contractor EHS file with proper supervision and monitoring
• Develop and Implement safety and health programs in compliance with local Zimbabwe OSH Regulations
• Create and Implement Emergency Response Plans and conduct mock drills to ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Conduct risk assessment to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to eliminate or mitigate risks
• Conduct site induction and training programs
• Develop and monitor safety and health programs to ensure compliance with company and legal regulations
• Report and record incidents with root cause analysis and fault findings with proper reporting and recommendations

• Confident, organized, self-starting personality with the ability to understand and communicate a wide range of business development and marketing initiatives.
• Ability to maintain an objective, rational perspective while providing a logical, pragmatic and factual approach to problem solving.
• Management skills with the ability to multi-task and balance short-term deadlines against long-term goals.
• Ability to work with multiple people in a persistent, tactful, and enthusiastic manner.

Software proficiency:

• Microsoft word, Power point, MS Projects, Excel

Educational Qualification:

Bachelors in Occupational, Health & Safety or equivalent certification

(From a reputable / Government recognised institute)

Travel Requirement: >50%
