Meyer Utility Structures, an Arcosa Subsidiary is hiring for a mobile equipment operator for our plant located in Steele, AL. As a mobile equipment operator at Meyer Utility Structures, you'll perform activities related to processing, receiving, recording, storing, and/ or shipping raw materials/finished goods. You'll operate mobile equipment (heavy equipment, forklift, cranes, yard vehicle, lift truck) to move materials/products between warehouse/manufacturing facilities.

What you’ll do:

• Operate a lift truck to move palletized loads from 6000-15000 pounds
• Operate an overhead crane on a production line
• May operate mobile crane (move across yard)
• May operate scissor lift
• Ensure proper identification of parts and materials
• Follow all safety rules and practices
• May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
• Perform other duties as assigned

What you’ll need:

• A minimum of 1 year of experience operating large forklifts or yard trucks
• Previous experience with shipping and receiving is required
• Previous experience with bills of lading a plus 
• The ability to operate a lift truck to move palletized loads up to 15000 pounds
• The ability to perform activities related to processing, receiving, recording, and/or shipping raw materials/finished goods.
• Good organizational and time management skills
• The ability to work required overtime during the week or on weekends
• The ability to maintain good attendance
