Summary: VES is looking for a Lab Test Engineer to join our team in Faridabad, India location. This person will be responsible to perform laboratory tests to determine product performance in accordance with industry standards or as outlined in engineering test procedures. Ensure test lab complies with industry and Varel Energy Solutions safety standards. Assist product engineering in the design and manufacture of test fixtures. Provide guidance on continued safety and efficiency improvements. Follows company safety policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for ensuring the safe operation of all equipment and efficient scheduling of calibration and repairs. Rig up and test oilfield equipment following test procedures and applicable industry standards using high pressure, high temperature and high-volume pumping equipment. Improve overall reliability and safety.
- Document testing events in a written report,
- Maintain functionality and calibration of equipment,
- Diagnose breakdown faults ranging from electric, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic
- Support applications engineering using computer-based predictive software
- Support product engineering using Solid works design software to create design modifications
- Assist in investigation and root cause analysis related to nonconformance queries
- Engage clients in a professional manner while assuring safety compliance
- Performs other duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
- B. Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2-5 years experience in field operations related to down hole tools.
- Understanding of engineering specifications, blueprints, and test specifications and other technical documents.
- Understand, evaluate, and apply technical information.
- Show proficiency with equipment, instrumentation, and tools used in the lab
- Demonstrate strong PC skills and proficiency with systems and software used in the lab.
