Job Description

A Senior Marketing Manager position is available at one of the world’s best fragrance and flavor companies. This New Jersey based position is hybrid offering flexibility & a collaborative work environment, experience in a fast-paced industry, and a chance to create work for both new and established brands. The position will be located in our Fabric & Home Care Innovation Center in Holmdel, in the legendary Bell Works building, with an exciting and effervescent working environment. We are looking for a teammate to be responsible for the marketing strategy of a growing Fabric Care category. The candidate will drive IFF business growth by building differentiating customer value propositions for regional and global customers, tapping into customer growth opportunities. About You:

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, Consumer Fragrances North America, you drive IFF business growth by building differentiating customer value propositions for key regional and global customers able to generate customer opportunities (both proactive and reactive). Be recognized as a key strategic business partner/ partner of choice and strengthen customer relationships by delivering actionable insights and impactful presentations aimed at capturing new business opportunities. 

As a Senior Marketing Manager you will spend your time..

  • Identified Customer Opportunities & Solutions: Drive white space analysis and identify actionable insights and generate business opportunities with differentiating customer value propositions
  • You will spearhead projects ranging from trends presentation and concept creation to technology conceptualization and go to market marketing strategy. 
  • Customer presentations/workshops/events: Define and build inspirational and impactful client presentations, organize workshops and inspirational events translating into customer brand implications and/or business opportunities
  • Customized Value Propositions: Generate new business opportunities by building differentiating value propositions for an IFF product offering targeting a specific customer/brand/region
  • Marketing Strategy & Implementation: Define and execute marketing strategy for category/cross category aligned with account or regional commercial strategy.
  • Ensure connection & sharing with global category: Establishment of regular connections points with the Category and share knowledge/insight/best practices generated from V2M initiatives
  • Cross fertilization between categories: Build cross category connections and share insights generated from V2M initiatives, export best practices and trickle down value propositions from one category to another
  • Ensure IFF is at the forefront of marketing trends and constantly drive innovation
  • Comfortable interacting with diverse groups, cross functions (Consumer Insights/Sales/Scent Design Group) and excellent communicator

Requirements:

  • Master Degree preferably in Marketing or Business
  • 9 to 13 years of relevant work experience
  • Proven ability to work independently, juggle multiple priorities and complete responsibilities in a fast paced, change oriented environment
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain effective work relationships with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Proficient in operating Microsoft environment programs (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook) 
  • Creativity and Passion for fragrances and for consumers with strong interest in product, concept, olfactive development.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to effectively communicate fragrance product development, concepts and technical projects

Preferred:

  • Minimum 7 years of Fragrance Industry experience in Marketing or internal relevant experience or marketing experience in adjacent industries (preferably FMCG, Flavors, Chemical/Ingredients) or in B2B Marketing with a strong know how of B2C Marketing in an international environment.
  • Lead strategic marketing development and execution of projects across multiple Home & Fabric Care categories
