Job Summary/Basic Function 

The marketing specialist is a brand-centered storyteller who develops and implements content on Concordia’s website and in email marketing. We are looking for a marketing specialist who thinks critically and creatively about how the Slate CRM platform can be used to increase efficiencies and provide a more holistic experience to achieve our enrollment goals. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical abilities and be able to leverage web and marketing analytics to provide reporting and insights for the Communications and Marketing team as well as campus partners.

This position is in our Communications & Marketing Department and collaborates closely with stakeholders both across departments and within the marketing team to develop programs that engage prospective students.

The position will be a great fit for someone who has proven marketing technology experience, a passion for process improvement, understands data models, and a collaborative work style and is looking to step into a position that leads our growth in our Slate CRM capabilities.

Position Responsibilities:

1. Plan, write and publish website content ensuring it is timely and up-to-date.

2. Create and execute email campaigns supporting admissions and visit campaigns.

3. Maximize the efficient use of Slate and Slate data to support marketing efforts in recruitment, admissions, and enrollment of students.

4. Develop, deliver, and maintain template libraries, standard queries, drip campaigns within Slate.

5. Conduct ongoing analysis and share findings with the marketing team to assess conversion rates of prospects and applicants and efficacy of digital pipelines.

6. Collaborate with campus offices and departments to ensure website content is accurate and current.

7. Manage day-to-day website requests.

8. Train campus partners to use the content management system.

Skills and Abilities:

Outstanding strategic writing and editing skills, digital and print content strategy and development, experience working with content management systems, strong written and oral communication skills and a strong sense of audience, strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, strong organizational skills

Minimum Qualifications 

Associates or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience.

Preferred Qualifications 

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or data analytics, working knowledge of HTML and/or content management systems. Slate experience a plus.
