In our commercial organization reporting to Sales Manager- M&I, Business Developer will be responsible of the execution of account strategies, (boost value accounts and/or potential accounts) set by the Account Leader and works closely together with the wider account team including (but not exclusively) Product Managers, IT and data specialists, customer service teams etc. The primary responsibility of this role is to serve as the expert for AMS/AMR solutions and to deliver the value proposition throughout the sales cycle to identified decision makers and stakeholder (particularly the lab) within accounts that are managed by the account leaders. In addition to this, this role is also responsible for identifying new opportunities for growth within the accounts and their defined territory.

What will your responsibilities within bioMérieux?

  • Create a network and full understanding of AMS program within each territory to increase consumption of the installed base and explore for new potential. This activity is in close interactions with the account leader.
  • Manage the entire solution sales process with new and existing customers to identify and execute opportunities for bioMérieux solutions within specific - qualify customers and promote the solution to key decision makers within the account.
  • Be the solution expert and own the delivery of the solution value proposition, handle customer concerns and objections and perform instrument demonstrations.
  • Collect insights from healthcare professionals regarding the clinical and diagnostic management of Infectious Diseases to prepare the way for more appropriate and wider usage of the products.
  • Take part in laboratory layout planning and technical drawing together with the product manager to support full laboratory automation.
  • Develop knowledge of the opportunity within the account (analyze decision-makers and needs, competitor presence, areas of strength and vulnerability for bioMérieux) and update customer information as needed in the CRM.
  • Ensure the compliance of sales activities with legal and ethical standards as well as with company policies.

Who are you?

  • Preferably scientific or business degree in related fields. Microbiology and bioMérieux product knowledge is a plus
  • Minimum 3 years experience in local sales and full knowledge of the product line and its application, knowing how to build and cement strong client relationships that support long term sales objectives
  • Ability to develop robust territory and opportunity plans and execute strategies to achieve targets
  • Customer focused, solution and result oriented, problem-solving personality
  • Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to convince, persuade and influence in selling situations
  • Organized, rigorous and autonomous
  • Ability to judge competitive response to sales strategy and make appropriate adjustments
  • Fluent in English
