Job description

In your new role you will:

Regionally responsible for a part area of one Category including a managed purchasing volume with two-digit million € annually.

Contribution to procurement strategy

• Drive strategy development for part area of Category as a regional buyer. Contribute to preparation and take regional lead for the execution of the Category Strategy as regional buyer
• Align innovative commercial models that base on a holistic Total-Cost-of-Ownership view with Global CM
• Manage to achieve negotiation and concept savings targets and other procurement KPIs
• Contribute to operating profit and cash flow targets
• Collaborate with Global, Lead, Local Buyer throughout the year
• Represent procurement strategy to key stakeholders across Infineon sites
• As a Regional Buyer you will balance both global and local needs at Infineon.
• Responsible for sourcing process, commercial negotiations and finalization of contracts.
• Ensure optimal balance of cost / functionality from initial demand request onwards
• Align the communication and reporting to C-Level Management for Big Value Projects with Global CM
• Acts as an orchestrator between the different requestors to align needs across Infineon and bundle demand wherever possible
• Drive the development of the specification to be sourced in close collaboration with the respective functional business organizations.
• Be open for innovative negotiation methods to bring the commercial discussion to a success and design the contracts together with stakeholders across Infineon
• Collaborate with Legal: strengthen the reuse, take ownership of guidelines to leverage contractual benefits and optimized processes in close alignment with the Legal team
• Monitor the market and drive the continuous improvement of Supply in the portfolio to better address business / market needs and create additional value

Manage the Supplier Relationship with (H)ICS suppliers in area of responsibility

Your Profile

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• degree preferably in Supply Chain Management or any Business-related field.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant working experience in sourcing and procurement in the logistics arena, which includes strong experience in commercial and contractual negotiations.
• Strong strategic mindset with the ability to identify opportunity to derive cost savings.
• Possess a good understanding of the full procurement process (operational procurement, vendor management, and strategic procurement).
• Strong proficiency in English. Ability to converse in Mandarin will be an added advantage for contract negotiations with suppliers in China
