The Utility Analyst will focus on evaluating client needs to provide utility clients with advice and support to negotiate joint use contracts, implement business workflows and successfully administer the joint use/pole attachment function of their utilities. This team member will add technical expertise, negotiation, and business process skills with the focus of providing value added Utility Consulting Services.

Job Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting qualitative and quantitative research analysis.
  • Performing research of selected agencies and regulations to assist in identifying all aspects of related information around business opportunities.
  • Studying and evaluating information from all available sources and then analyzing it to provide timely and objective assessments to clients.
  • Working alongside business development professionals and engineers as they cooperatively identify, strategize, and pursue opportunities with electric utilities

Specific job tasks include:

  • Reading and interpreting client joint use contracts
  • Collecting, configuring and analyzing data to evaluate trends
  • Managing permitting projects on behalf of clients
  • Developing business workflows to improve processes associated with joint use/pole attachment functions
  • Learning and operating software systems in support of pole attachment workflows

Qualifications / Required Skills include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, computer science or related field
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products especially Excel and Word
  • Additional database management software experience preferred
  • Analytical thinking and problem solving.
  • Ability to take ownership of processes and achieve defined results
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and time management skills

  • No unique physical demands are required for this job.

Additional considerations:

  • Limited travel upon request (5-10%)
