Manager, Business Transformation

We are seeking a Manager of Business Transformation to join our team to lead transformational initiatives, strategic operational planning, and change management across the company by leveraging a team of quantitative and qualitative problem solvers in cross-functional and consultative engagements. This role will be embedded into the inner workings of our IT Transformation initiative where we are revolutionizing our processes, data, and technology for the future. The ideal candidate is able to quickly build trust with a wide variety of stakeholders and leverage operational and analytical expertise to drive change across the most complex issues facing the business. Leveraging a mix of practical experience, interpersonal skills, financial modeling, operational savvy, process improvement, and data analysis, this leader will be instrumental in driving data-driven decision making and positive organizational change. 

What You’ll Do

  • Lead & develop the next generation of BC leaders by executing effectively through delegation and knowledge sharing, creating a community of well-rounded strategists and operators.
  • Mentor direct reports and influence up and down the Operations & Data teams, further fostering a culture of expertise sharing, collaboration and professional growth.
  • Lead and champion transformative initiatives, strategic operational planning, and change management at BigCommerce, guiding the Business Transformation team, external contractors, and key internal executives and stakeholders to drive impactful organizational change projects.
  • Foster and promote a high-performing workplace culture by organizing team-building activities, professional development seminars, events, and recognition programs for the Operations and Data department.
  • Develop comprehensive economic models to project the ramifications of pivotal business decisions, presenting investment proposals complete with detailed execution plans to the executive team.
  • Lead collaborative workshops, UAT sessions, and enablement programs that inspire creative problem-solving with cross-functional SMEs to support effective change management while ensuring deadlines are met and required deliverables are produced.
  • Partner closely with the Director of Business Transformation, VP of Operations & Data, and GTM Operations and Data Directors to prioritize, resource, and create critical paths for selected initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Data, and Business Technology leadership to develop global intake plus prioritization processes and execute strategic plans and transformative initiatives ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Constantly look around corners to identify business strategy & cross-functional execution risks and implement control mechanisms to detect, mitigate, and/or prevent failure.
  • Advocate for and seize opportunities where BigCommerce could develop corporate and business unit strategies to seize market share or differentiate from the competition.

Who You Are

  • 7+ years experience in strategy, management consulting, or similar roles in business analytics or finance
  • 2+ years of people management experience
  • A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Math, Business Administration, Finance, Economics) - MBA a plus, or relevant work experience
  • A natural leader, always willing to drive collaborative problem solving, with prior experience supporting GTM functions (Sales, Post-Sales, Partner, or Marketing operations)
  • Prior work experience in SaaS technology/eCommerce companies is a strong plus
  • Working knowledge and application of Lean Principles required
  • Program management, planning, and goal setting expertise required - JIRA and Agile process skills preferred
  • Expert organization skills, including ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrates exceptional communication and collaboration skills in process design, tool rationalization, and defining and continuously monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs)

Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range (or have the minimum apply to them), but rather, the exact salary will be dependent on the successful candidate’s location, relevant knowledge, skills, and qualifications.

$97,722—$165,264 USD
