Role: Bilingual Litigation Paralegal

Location: Raleigh, NC

Type: Contract to Hire

Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our team in a contract-to-hire role. This is a demanding and rewarding opportunity for a skilled individual to play a vital role in supporting our attorneys in all phases of civil litigation matters. Fluency in Spanish is mandatory as you will be responsible for handling Spanish-speaking clients and witnesses. With at least 8 years of relevant experience, you possess strong research and analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda on various issues related to assigned cases.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, and motions.
  • Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including witness interviews, document organization, and evidence management.
  • Manage case files and documents, ensuring accurate and efficient organization.
  • Communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in the litigation process.
  • Assist with legal calendaring and deadlines, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by attorneys and legal team members.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree or Paralegal certificate preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal with a focus on civil litigation.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
