Amazon is seeking motivated and hardworking individuals to fill an IT Warehouse Support Associate position at our IT Warehouse in Vancouver. The IT Warehouse owns the lifecycle of all IT assets deployed to corporate employees in Canada. A successful IT Warehouse Support Associate will support a variety of functions through the warehouse, including maintaining IT inventory, imaging, packing/shipping hardware, and general standardized housekeeping of all IT areas. Additional responsibilities may include computer repair, troubleshooting, and technical support. Key job responsibilities

  • Imaging laptops for deployment.
  • Receiving and storing IT assets and peripherals.
  • Picking IT assets in preparation for configuration and deployment.
  • Re-stocking of IT inventory locations.
  • Preparation of all new hire equipment.
  • Preparation of IT assets for transportation in line with IT and InfoSec policies.
  • Safe handling and destruction of IT media in accordance with InfoSec policies.
  • Appropriate management of returned IT assets in accordance with compute reuse, reverse logistics, and disposal processes.
  • Assist other teams in the decommissioning and removal of IT assets from staff who have left the organization, transporting these assets in accordance with InfoSec policy.
  • Improving existing processes and procedures.
  • Developing clear and concise documentation.
  • Working independently while managing competing priorities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand/walk for 8-10 hours at a time
  • Ability to work overtime as required
  • Must be able to bend and lift equipment up to 49 lbs throughout the shift

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1+ years of corporate setting Windows, Mac or Linux Operating systems support experience
  • Experience with network troubleshooting and support
  • Experience in a dynamic environment with a high degree of customer service
  • Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Cisco/CCNA, Linux (Redhat), Microsoft hardware (installation), AWS, or other industry relevant certifications
  • Experience with data cabling/computer facilities maintenance
  • Experience with IT asset management

The base salary for this position ranges from $46,000/year up to $76,800/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
