ABOUT THE ROLE

The Auckland DC supports the New Zealand business across all channels for stores and online. With forward thinking operating practices and some of the best equipment and facilities in the industry, this is an opportunity to impact a world class facility and team.

The Afternoon Operations Manager leads a high performing team to deliver DC operations, providing world-class service to customers across all touchpoints. The Afternoon Shift teams typical working hours are 2pm to 10pm.

You will be a member of the leadership team, reporting into our Head of Distribution New Zealand and supporting your peers and team to deliver our strategic goals.

Our state of the art new COG Campus is under construction and will be opening soon! Only the second of it's kind globally, the COG Campus will see all of our NZ team across all functions and brands under one roof. With a bigger facility and new equipment, not only will you and your team be able to provide world class service to our customer, you will play a key role in the successful move from our current Distribution Centre in Mangere to the COG Campus in Mt Roskill! 

This role is a fixed term contract for 12 months covering for a team member on parental leave.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate experience will have leadership experience from a high-volume, complex distribution and transport operations background and we comfortable in delivering world-class service to our omni-channel customers.

  • You have DC operations and leadership experience and have an excellent understanding of supply chain processes 
  • You're a true supporter and pride yourself on your partnering ability with a customer centric, solutions focused mindset
  • You're commercially savvy with the adaptability/flexibility to respond to fast moving operational objective
  • You're influential and highly accountable, an innovative leader with an optimistic, can do attitude and drive results through values based actions 
  • You're always looking for opportunities to apply industry best practice to evolving operations within the framework of existing operating rhythms and culture while protecting Group DNA.
  • You will be a key member of the leadership team and implement the global supply chain strategy, making locally relevant adjustments to reflect channel and customer needs.
