Job Title: Cloud Architect

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced cloud architect to join our team and help us design, implement, and maintain cloud solutions using AWS. You will be responsible for understanding the products that our company develops and how best to leverage the cloud services to optimize performance, scalability, security, and cost.

As a cloud architect, you will:

• Work closely with product managers, developers, DevOps engineers and other stakeholders to understand the business requirements and translate them into cloud architectures and solutions.
• Design and implement cloud infrastructure using AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC, CloudFormation, etc.
• Ensure compliance with AWS best practices, standards, and policies, such as the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud performance, availability, and reliability.
• Define the key performance indicators (KPIS’s) by which the deployment will be measured.
• Evaluate and recommend new AWS features and technologies to improve our cloud capabilities and efficiency.
• Provide guidance and support to other cloud engineers and developers on AWS-related issues and questions.
• Leverage AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) to deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications using Kubernetes.
• Utilize serverless services such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and SNS to create scalable, event-driven, and cost-effective solutions.
• Implement cost optimization strategies such as resource tagging, right-sizing, auto-scaling, and reserved instances to reduce cloud spending and increase ROI.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional certification, or equivalent knowledge and skills.
• At least 3 years of experience in designing and implementing cloud solutions using AWS.
• Proficient in AWS services, tools, and APIs, as well as cloud architecture principles and patterns.
• Experience in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience in DevOps and CI/CD practices and tools, such as Jenkins, Git, or Terraform.
• Experience in working with Kubernetes and EKS, as well as Docker and other container technologies.
• Experience in developing and deploying serverless applications using AWS services.
• Experience in monitoring and analyzing cloud costs and usage, and applying cost optimization techniques.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
