Apprenticeship Navigator - (240003MP)
The Division of Apprentice Standards (DAS) is responsible for promoting, developing, and servicing registered apprenticeship programs in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
The Apprenticeship Navigator will implement robust and inclusive registered apprenticeship outreach and recruitment strategies, expand diversity within apprenticeship, and increase employer demand for apprenticeship across all sectors. Reporting to the Senior Apprenticeship Liaison, the Apprenticeship Navigator will work with the DAS liaison team and external stakeholders to eliminate systemic barriers to participation in registered apprenticeship for employers and job seekers. The Apprenticeship Navigator will also engage in technical assistance strategies toward improvements in apprenticeship program quality and identify strategic opportunities for expansion occupation apprenticeships, as well as the diversification of construction trades apprenticeships.

SALARY PLACEMENT IS DETERMINED BY YEARS OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION DIRECTLY RELATED TO THE POSITION AND THE HUMAN RESOURCES DIVISION’S RECRUITING GUIDELINES. IN THE CASE OF A PROMOTIONAL OPPORTUNITY, THE SALARY PROVISIONS OF THE APPLICABLE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT WILL BE UTILIZED FOR PLACEMENT WITHIN THE SALARY RANGE.

MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have at least (A) two years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional, administrative or managerial experience in business administration, business management or public administration the major duties of which involved program management, program administration, program coordination, program planning and/or program analysis, or (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.
Substitutions:
I. A Bachelor's or higher degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for the required experience.*
II. A Bachelor's or higher degree with a major other than in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience.*
