Sr. Systems Administrator

THMCC Stop Loss

TMHCC Stop Loss, a $2 Billion division within Tokio Marine HCC, leads the way in providing medical stop loss insurance sold to employers. Medical Stop Loss provides an added layer of insurance protection to employers who choose to self-fund their health benefit plans. Self-funding can incur risks from catastrophic claims, and Medical Stop Loss insurance from Tokio Marine HCC is designed to protect employers from that risk. 

Based in our Kennesaw, GA office this person will report to the Development Manager. This position follows a hybrid work schedule with 3 days in the Kennesaw office. 

Position Summary: 

Under general supervision, this position will install, configure, and maintain operating systems workstations and servers in support of business processing requirements to develop or modify moderately complex information systems.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Install new software releases, system upgrades, evaluate and install patches and resolve software related problems.
  • Maintain server and network documentation.
  • Ensure long-term systems operations and administration requirements are included in the overall information systems planning of the organization.
  • Implement operating system enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system.
  • Install, configure, and maintain server operating systems.
  • Install, configure, and repair server hardware.
  • Ensure workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions Manage network system backups.
  • Support remote users in accessing corporate resources.
  • Perform system administration duties in Windows Active Directory environment.
  • Act as a second-level support for desktop issues
  • Participate in on-call rotation for off-hours support.

Education, Experience & Knowledge: 

  • 4-year bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • Certifications (preferred) CCP-V/CCP-N/CC-VAD-MA
  • Must have experience with administrating Citrix Environments
  • Preferred experience with administration of VMware, Microsoft AD
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and in-depth knowledge of multi-site, mixed-technology enterprise environments
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft back office products, including Systems Management Server (SMS), MS-SQL, ISA Server, and Internet Information Server (IIS)
  • Sound working knowledge of Internet/Intranet technologies including security features
  • Possess and have ability to apply broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy
  • Intermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office package (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)
