Position: Medical Receptionist

Busy 'independent' family practice is looking for a professional, dependable, and personable individual to join our team. The Medical Office Receptionist is responsible for managing all tasks related to the front desk area of the family practice, including scheduling, patient registration, patient check-out, co-pay processing, handling/prioritizing telephone communication, rotation with internal call center and referrals if needed. You are the first and/or last contact the patient has with our office.

SCHEDULE: Hours currently hiring for part-time/full-time position. ***Able and willing to work additional shifts when needed (morning, afternoon and/or evening) *** IDEAL CANDIDATE MUST BE FLEXIBLE!!

Our normal office hours: Monday - Thursday 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM, Friday 8:00- 4:30, [Saturday 8:15 AM-12:30 PM (rotational for part-timers)].

  • Professional conduct and appearance, interpersonal communication and organizational skills, and good phone and computer skills with an attention to detail.
  • Must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment while always remaining organized.
  • The ability to provide excellent customer service to all patients.
  • Professional oral and written communication are required.
  • The ability to effectively manage time throughout the workday.
  • Proficient typing skills
  • Computer Literacy
  • Previous medical office experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records - EPIC a plus!!!
  • Reliable transportation

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

  • Greet and check in/out patients in a friendly manner, while assuring an efficient check in/out process according to office procedures.
  • Answering multi-phone lines and triaging patient needs appropriately.
  • Scheduling appointments according to guidelines
  • Maintains strictest confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
