The Senior Manager, IT Product Owner, HRIS oversees the development and enhancement of HRIS products and platforms. The Senior Manager uses strategic thinking to effectively manage product strategy, project execution, technical expertise, research initiatives, and team leadership to drive successful outcomes. The Senior Manager has hands on experience leading development teams along with development of HRIS platforms in the cloud, leveraging Agile methods, aligning and communicating across all cross functional stakeholders on HRIS priorities and issues, driving continuous improvement and managing the Incident Management process.


WHAT YOU’LL DO


Product Strategy

  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and user feedback sessions to identify opportunities for product improvement and innovation
  • Work closely with Business sponsors to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI for all applications in the HRIS environment (Ceridian Dayforce, Workday, ADP, Phenom, HireRight, Brother University, Brainstorm QuickHelp, Emergency Notification System, etc.)
  • Identify opportunities to leverage and enhance the product features and capabilities to optimize the value and experience for the end users.
  • Develop the annual roadmap and budget for the HRIS area and manages costs against approved budget

Product Management

  • Oversee backlog of requests and prioritizes with necessary IT and business stakeholders
  • Manage end to end lifecycle of the data and reporting technology products from design, development, maintenance through de-commissioning
  • Govern cross functional team members to ensure seamless delivery of planned releases
  • Leverage agile methodologies to drive to regular releases that provide optimal value to the Brother team
  • Define, analyze and report on metrics that inform the success and quality of data and reporting products and features

Technical Expertise & Research

  • Be an advocate for the HRIS platforms and tools at Brother
  • Stay updated on the HRIS market, competitive landscape and solution ecosystem
  • Participate in architecture discussions and assessments

Team Leadership

  • Provide vision and direction to the development team and stakeholders throughout the project by creating requirements and following through on execution
  • Lead and mentor a team of product owners, developers, designers, and other stakeholders, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation
  • Provide coaching, support, and professional development opportunities to team members, empowering them to achieve their full potential
  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the team, creating a supportive and inclusive work environment

Vendor Management

  • Manage and optimize the governance structure in place to oversee all vendor delivery and services
  • Provide metric-based scorecard to ensure resources are optimized and any issues are proactively addressed
  • Monitor vendors costs against budget and identify opportunities to reduce costs
  • Assess vendor risks and strategic alignment throughout the lifecycle of the vendor relationship and identify alternative vendor partners as needed

Capacity Management

  • Ensure teams are forecasting demand (across incidents, maintenance, enhancements and projects) and adjusting based on trends and priority changes
  • Maximize resource capacity by leveraging internal and external resources and cross functional collaboration
  • Identify resource constraints or risks and provide mitigation options to ensure effective and efficient operations in the HRIS team

ABOUT OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE


Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Master’s Degree in a related field - Preferred

Experience

  • 10+ years of product management, project management, or related roles within the HRIS space
  • Proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams and driving HRIS projects from concept to launch

Licenses & Certifications

  • PMP – Project Management Professional – Preferred
  • PHR – Professional in Human Resources - Preferred

ADDITIONAL DETAILS FOR THIS ROLE


This role will be a hybrid role. Subject to business needs, employees may work remotely up to two days per week. Assigned office days will be determined by managers. #LI-Hybrid

  • The salary (or hiring) range for this position is $160,000 - $180,000 per year
  • Starting salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location, and alignment with market data
  • This position is eligible to participate in the relevant Brother variable pay incentive plan(s). Applicable bonus awards are discretionary and contingent upon 1) achievement of your individual objectives and 2) Brother achieving its corporate and business-level objectives
