Tanzu APJ Leader Job Description

At Tanzu @ VMware (part of Broadcom Software Group), we are looking for a Director of Tanzu - Sales to join the team and help lead our strategic sales across Asia-Pacific and Japan. In leading the existing team of sales managers and the field sales force, you will provide clarity of mission, create and execute strategies and leverage the ecosystem offered by the Broadcom software business to maximize the Tanzu opportunity in this geography. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on global Tanzu sales and help shape the future of our business. To be successful in this role, you must be a seasoned leader and analytical thinker with a proven track record of success in specialist sales leadership in the technology sector. We are looking for someone who is motivated and passionate about sales, has excellent communication skills, and is able to both manage and mentor a team. You must have the ability to lead through influence, be a strong negotiator, and have a deep understanding of the modern applications landscape. Job Qualifications

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets
  • Lead, motivate, and manage a high-performing sales team to ensure they meet their individual and team sales goals
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with enterprise clients, understanding their needs and business challenges
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including marketing, product development, and customer service) to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to market
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
  • Extensive Experience In The modern application landscape
  • Analyze regional market trends and discover new opportunities for growth
  • Sales forecasting, business management and reporting outcomes and insights to senior management, using CRM tools and analysis
  • Go-to-market organisational design and strategic annual/quarterly planning 
  • Participate in industry events and conferences to generate new business leads.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty within the region
  • Ability to travel as needed
