Global Head of Personal Systems Communications
At HP, we believe in the power of ideas. And we believe that ideas thrive best in a culture of teamwork. That is why everyone, in every function, is encouraged to develop, express, and share their creativity to deliver better outcomes for our customers.
HP’s Personal Systems (PS) group is a bedrock of HP’s innovation and business. The PS group includes PCs, peripherals, and services that deliver amazing experiences for students to working families to remote designers to hybrid workers to gamers, and everyone in between.
The hallmark of the HP Global Communications team is passion, commitment, curiosity, flexibility, and global perspective. We are a growth team on a mission to transform the way HP communicates and the way stakeholders interact with our brand.
The Global Head of Personal Systems Communications leads the communications team dedicated to this multi- billion dollar organization. This role is accountable for leading integrated campaigns to build brand preference, driving audience engagement, and establishing thought leadership for the HP PS business and its global leaders. This leader will also work with regional teams, marketing leads, and global business unit leads to elevate storytelling, supported by research and data insights, and is the primary architect of our most important PS innovation narratives.
The role requires a strong understanding of B2B and product communications, as well as executive communications and creative campaign development experience. This role has direct exposure to and engagement with senior executives, and requires strong collaboration and strategic communications skills.
Also crucial to this role is experience in strategic positioning. While HP’s product reputation is strong, the company is competing in a crowded space and working to maintain leadership in the category from both a product and thought leadership standpoint. Success in this role will be helping the business develop a strong narrative to help consumer, business, gaming, and financial audiences understand why HP is uniquely positioned to win. It will require a strong point-of-view, understanding of technology and above all else, incredible diplomacy and communication skills.
The global lead will also be responsible for coaching and developing a high-performing PS communications team, as well as managing our agency partners. As such, excellent team building and people building skills are also required. Experience managing remote and globally diverse teams is a plus.
This role reports to the Global Head of Product & Services Communications (PSC) and will be a thought partner to the rest of the PSC leadership team. Cross-product collaboration is expected, and the leader will be expected to proactively work with other business units to tell stories across the entire HP portfolio. They will be biased toward action, inspire teammates to perform at a high level, and consistently turn strategy into execution to achieve strong results.
