Your role

We’re looking for a Business Intelligence Team Lead who will:

• Lead a team of 3 to 4 experts in data analytics and reporting
• Manage projects related to reporting, platform development and data management
• Coordinate tasks and projects within the team
• Act as the main contact point with the business and IT
• Develop, maintain and modify existing Tableau reports and Power BI reports
• Automate and improve existing reporting processes using various BI techniques
• Design new reports to support growing reporting needs in the business
• Analyze end user requirements and turn them into new reports
• Generate internal KPI reports (net new assets, assets under management, profitability etc.)
• Develop, generate and distribute performance reports
• Build and maintain productive relationships with Performance and Risk Analytics team in Zurich to provide them with the required data

Your team

You’ll be working in the GWM Chief Investment Office Poland team in Wroclaw, closely collaborating with the Global IM Performance and Risk Analytics team in Zurich. We are responsible for measuring investment performance and benchmarks. We provide a wide range of BI solutions and reports to the portfolio managers on a regular and ad-hoc basis, to enable efficient decision-making process.

Your expertise

• 3 to 5 years of experience as a line manager
• Expert in SQL (mainly selecting commands) and have excellent knowledge of MS Excel (VBA knowledge is a plus), knowledge of Python is a must
• Familiar with leading vendor report building platform (Tableau, Microsoft Power BI)
• Attention to detail is a must for the candidates, especially when it comes to developing and writing database programs
• Analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
• Sense of creativity to assist developing new reports
• Good communication/interpersonal skills to support end users, e.g. explanation of reporting figures, grasp end user needs and transpose into related value add adjustments
• Good knowledge of the financial industry is also a beneficial asset
• Master’s or bachelor’s degree (preferable in IT, Maths or Finance related areas)
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
