The Lead People Operations role is designed for a visionary HR professional who is passionate about making a meaningful impact on our organization and its people, particularly within our operations in India.Role Overview:

As a Lead in People Operations, you will spearhead our efforts to streamline HR functions including payroll, compliance, HR metrics, benefits administration, and strategic HR planning. Your expertise will be instrumental in enhancing our HR practices, aligning them with our organizational goals, and ensuring the success of our team in India.'

Job Location - Chennai

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic HR plans that align with the organization's goals and objectives, particularly focusing on our operations in India.
  • Oversee the payroll process, ensuring compliance with all statutory regulations and labor laws. Work closely with external partners like ADP to manage payroll, statutory, and taxation queries effectively.
  • Utilize HR metrics and data analysis to inform decision-making processes. Maintain integrity and accuracy in all HR systems and databases.
  • Administer comprehensive employee benefits programs, including health insurance and PF, addressing queries and concerns to ensure a high level of employee satisfaction.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation to enhance HR operational efficiency. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve any issues related to payroll and benefits.
  • Act as a key advisor to employees and management, fostering strong relationships across the organization. Address and resolve employee inquiries and issues promptly.
  • Lead and mentor the People Operations team, promoting best practices, continuous learning, and professional development.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of concise and professional interactions with all levels of the organization.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with HRIS systems like ADP and NetSuite.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic HR planning, payroll management, and compliance.
  • A passion for driving improvements and identifying efficiencies within HR processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and other relevant technologies.
  • Ability to multitask, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines independently.
  • Openness to change and a willingness to embrace new skills and challenges.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or HR certification preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in HR or People Operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Significant experience in payroll processing, HR compliance, and benefits administration within India.
  • Demonstrated leadership in HR strategic planning and operational excellence.
