Job Summary: The Windows Applications Subject Matter Expert (SME) (Tier III) is a senior-level position responsible for providing expert-level support and guidance on Windows-based applications and technologies. This role involves managing and optimizing the performance, security, and functionality of Windows applications to meet organizational needs. A Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI is required for this position. A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field is preferred. Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, ITIL Foundation, and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for Windows-based applications and technologies, including Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Exchange, and other related tools.
  • Design, deploy, and maintain Windows application environments, ensuring compatibility, reliability, and security.
  • Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for complex Windows application issues, collaborating with other IT teams and vendors as needed.
  • Evaluate and recommend new Windows applications and technologies to enhance organizational productivity and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, policies, and procedures for Windows application management and support.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate end-users and IT staff on best practices for using Windows applications.
  • Stay current with emerging Windows technologies, industry trends, and best practices to continuously improve service delivery and support.
  • Participate in IT project planning, coordination, and implementation related to Windows applications as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Windows application management or related role.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Windows-based applications and technologies, including Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Exchange, etc.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, ITIL Foundation, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or equivalent are preferred but not required.
