Student Success and Well-Being – Office of Student Financial Assistant

The Office of Student Financial Assistance is dedicated to supporting UCF's mission and goals through the efficient delivery of student aid. The Office provides UCF students with a comprehensive offering of financial assistance options to support student success and the attainment of a university degree.

The Opportunity:

UCF’s Student Success and Well-Being Office of Student Financial Assistance is now accepting applications for a Business Systems Analyst I. This position supports the information technology utilized in the Office of Student Financial Assistance in a variety of ways. Financial Aid is a nuanced area within higher education requiring specific technical expertise to ensure compliance with state legislation and federal regulations. This person works with administrators, subject matter experts, and IT personnel to clarify project objectives, conduct business needs analysis, and provide clear and structured requirements for technology related initiatives and upgrades. The goal of this role is to ensure IT systems and applications are aligned with UCF organizational objectives. The person in this position plans, manages, and ensures the proper implementation of projects related to business process changes and improvements, and evaluates, assesses, and designs the technical functions of various UCF business systems modules.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops SAS EG Projects and Student Information System (PeopleSoft) queries to facilitate processing and reporting of federal, state, and institutional aid programs.
  • Develops, updates, and maintains Student Information System for the purpose of generating letter templates using Microsoft Word and Bi Publisher for all departmental communications with students.
  • Collaborates with UCF IT on special projects such as server migrations, major software updates and implementation, and other technical issues.
  • Collaborates with end users and SFA IT staff for ongoing projects within the department to find innovative solutions to improve processing and customer service.
  • Serves as back up on various SFA IT tasks in the case of absence of another team member.
  • Serves as technical support for end users and liaison between end users and UCF IT for software/hardware issues and hardware replacement.
  • Submits and manages ServiceNow tickets on behalf of end users to facilitate communication between end user and UCF IT.
  • Maintains, orders, and purchases supplies for desktop and high-speed printers.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information
