The Customer Experience (CX) team is a blend of web and mobile full-stack engineers focusing on features core to the user experience on our websites and mobile applications. Some examples include providing onboarding guidance to properly configure their security systems, educating customers on the best way to protect the things they love, and notifying customers of important activity on their systems.

We’re seeking a Full-Stack Tech Lead (focus on web development) who is passionate about creating change through technology and wants to make a lasting impact on the world around them.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Architect and Contributor: Architect and implement full-stack software solutions to complex technical problems using ingenuity and creativity with an emphasis on end-user experiences for our web apps. Build solutions with robustness and risk mitigation in mind. Deliver incremental progress on a predictable cadence.
  • Mentor: Serve as a mentor to our growing engineering department via in-person collaboration, trainings, and code reviews, in areas for which you are a subject matter expert.
  • Planner: Ensure our roadmap aligns with the company’s product development strategy by collaborating with Product Management.
  • Technical Influencer: Research, evaluate, and apply new technologies and best-practice engineering methodologies and processes across our team.
  • Collaborator: Participate in collaborative meetings to coordinate both short-term and long-term activities between business areas.
  • Communicator: Produce clean technical design documentation and diagrams to facilitate knowledge transfer. Provide clear, audience-relevant technical communication to help drive progress for the team.
  • Monitor: Develop test plans in conjunction with Quality Assurance and monitor performance in our production environment.
  • Change Agent: Identify opportunities for improved efficiency within our code or business processes, propose solutions, and implement your vision with significant autonomy.
  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING?

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years of relevant professional software development experience
  • Experience leading and mentoring other engineers
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience with JavaScript web frameworks (e.g. Ember, React, Vue, etc.)
  • Experience with CSS and HTML
  • Experience with object-oriented languages (e.g. C#)
  • Experience with JavaScript build tools (e.g. Gulp) and testing frameworks (e.g. Mirage)
  • Experience with package managers (e.g. npm)
  • Exposure to TypeScript
  • Exposure to Web API design
  • Exposure to JSON serialization
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, principles, and technologies (e.g. WebSockets)
