Assumes a leadership role in contracting activities. Develops, negotiates, maintains and updates contracts for related products and services. Works with the various schools and departments at the University to identify products and services to target for contracting, solicits and evaluates proposals, negotiates contracts, and works to secure benchmarking information. Prepares contract information for distribution, filing and publication. Reports on contract and customer service activities. Participates in contract and customer service strategy sessions. Reviews purchase request documents for policy compliance and appropriateness.
The Associate Director will assist the Director of Resource Management with hiring decision, coaching and development, training and mentoring while managing/measuring performance.

Bachelor’s degree and ten years or more related experience in procurement, contracting, business or related field working with designated department in a large organization.

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
