Our team is looking for highly motivated Software Engineers with a strong background in performance analysis and optimization of AI applications and workloads to help ensure Intel platforms deliver the best user experience.

We work with partners internally and across the industry to drive the development of representative metrics, which Intel's design teams use to build the best possible products for our customers. We also help third party application vendors and open source projects take full advantage of new Intel platform features.

Our work is varied, highly technical and gives opportunity for wide exposure.

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or any STEM degree or in lieu of degree 8+ years of related experience.

10+ years of combined experience with: 

  • Software development (at least C/C++ and Python) and experience working on large software projects.
  • Developing with or contributing to at least one AI software stack or framework.
  • Leading cross-divisional technical workgroups

Preferred qualifications:

  • Excellent personal, communication and collaboration skills.
  • Open-source software development experience is a plus.
  • Practical knowledge of modern deep learning algorithms, publicly available models and their characteristics.
  • Demonstrable hands-on experience with performance analysis tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of (one or more): CPU, GPU, NPU or SoC-level architecture; demonstrated record of driving improvements in instruction set or micro-architecture is a plus.
  • A reading-level knowledge of a modern x86 and/or ARM instruction set and their SIMD extensions, or any other IP-level command set.
  • Ability and willingness to learn quickly and explore new areas out of established zones of expertise.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in

US, California:$203,833.00-$325,999.00

Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
