The Customer Data & Relations team are looking for a hands-on IT Architect to join us!

This role is a sweet spot, if you are software engineer turned IT architect that still wants to get into the thick of it, up close and personal as well as keeping track of the bigger picture. If you like engaging people, building strong relations inside the team as well as cross-functionally and like coaching, this position is for you!

Your responsibilities: 

• The CRM ecosystem at Telia Estonia, consisting of several custom-built java solutions integrated with core OSS/BSS applications
• Migrating to new CIAM and PIM platforms
• Finding the best possible solutions to business problems including observing business activities technically and discussing expectations and solutions at the Release Train/team level
• Willingness and ability to create a roadmap from the perspective of a long-term view
• Knowledge of information systems within your domain
• Supporting development and colleagues with best practices
• Document, visualize, and update the architecture of solutions

Is this you? 

Since you are going to be working closely together with many different people you need to have good communication, guidance, and support skills and be a true team player. You have a broad horizon of the world of technologies, frameworks, programming languages, and platforms. You can plan and see the bigger picture, you are result-oriented, analytical and you have good negotiation and argumentation skills. You possess a curious mind and willingness to step outside your comfort zone and are eager to learn new things. Estonian is our common language; therefore, your Estonian must be fluent in both spoken and written. 

Your experience: 

• 3+ years experience as an Architect and 5+ years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer and/or DevOps Engineer with software development experience within the Tech stack referred to below
• Strong analytical problem-solving mindset
• Understanding of Clean code principles and Clean architecture
• Understanding Agile software principles, and experience with Scrum

Technology stack we use and what we expect you to have: 

• Java, React, PostgreSQL
• Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka

Good to have: 

• Experience with microservices architecture
• Experience working with JavaScript/Typescript
• Understanding RESTful APIs
• Experience with distributed systems, and event-based/event-driven architecture
• TMF knowledge
• Willingness to be present at the office a couple of times in a week
