The Merchant of USCA Levi’s ® Women’s Bottoms creates compelling assortments and manages daily assortment and business needs. You will partner with the USCA Merchants and cross functional partners to guide the strategy for Bottoms categories and bring seasonal category visions to life. You understand customers’ needs and market dynamics to create the right product mix for the marketplace and segment accordingly. You will report into the Sr. Merchant. 

About the Job

  • Create assortment strategy for USCA Women’s Bottoms based on analysis of both our internal metrics, competitive landscape, consumer insights and macro trends. Deliver assortments that support brand and cluster strategies while achieving financial targets. 
  • Partner with planner and allocator on weekly business reviews, open-to-buy management, and plan revisions to achieve financial goals and strategic objectives. 
  • Analyze weekly and monthly product performance, partnering with Planning, Allocation and Sales to identify risks and opportunities; determine and guide short-, medium-, and long-term actions to increase opportunities and minimize risks. 
  • Present during Milestone Meetings including Briefs, Hindsight, Cluster Launch, Assortment Reviews, Product Reviews, Investment Reviews.
  • Engage and partner with Global Merchandising team to ensure agreement and ensure USCA needs are met. 
  • Partner with DTC & BX teams to guide elevated on floor execution of product stories. 

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline preferred. 
  • 3-5 years direct merchandising/buying experience working at an apparel manufacturer, retailer, or marketer. 
  • Knowledge of merchandising and design trends; ability to apply that knowledge, connect the dots and create product assortments that win in the marketplace. 
  • Understand full product lifecycle and how multiple responsibilities contribute to the value chain to create the best assortments for customers. 
  • Analytical with understanding of financial measurements including sales, gross margin, inventory turn, ST%, weeks of supply and how to improve them. 
  • Excel (can perform complex functions) 

The expected starting salary range for this role is $77,300- $120,000. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance and business needs.
