Job Description:
We are seeking a full-time, regular Workday Financial Analyst to join the Ocean Engineering (OE) Department, to function as an independent subject matter expert for Workday Financial business processes. As the Workday Financial Analyst, you are entrusted with managing substantial financial resources that are critical to the success of Federally funded sponsored research within OE. You will function independently and provide critical operational support for Workday and related UW Systems (e.g., SAGE Budget/Award/Mod, Award Portal, BI Portal) pre- and post-award tasking, contacting internal and external stakeholders to clarify award requirements and updating Workday Financials and other systems as needed throughout the award life cycle (setup, management, and closeout).

The Applied Physics Laboratory is a research unit at the University of Washington. Our research expertise is in ocean physics and engineering, ocean and medical acoustics, polar science, environmental remote sensing, and signal processing.
