Integrated Solution Engineering Department 

Industrial metaverses in the AR space bring the promise to make work safer/more secure and increase the efficiency/throughput of industrial processes in the industry 4.0 enterprises. Recent advances in a wide range of technologies like computer vision, computational photography, neural rendering, scene reconstruction, computational imaging, visual-inertial odometry, sensor fusion for physical state estimation, mapping and localization, language grounding, interaction technologies, are set to achieve the goal of a safer/more efficient enterprises. 

The Integrated Solution Engineering team researches new ways of robot - human co-existence in the same space. These environments need to be safe and provide both the robots and humans the ablity to execute their tasks in the most efficient manner. We look for new ways of visualizing, predicting, and handling the ad hoc interactions emerging in such environments. 

Experiments in the physical space with our robot fleet are a key part of our activity. 

In addition to the research aspect, our team develops proof of concepts and fully functional research prototypes to enable the commercialization of the solution. 

Responsibilities

As part of our team, you will contribute to 

  • Maintaining and extending the robot fleet 
  • Learning and implementing state-of-the-art metaverse visualization prototypes 
  • Creation of scientific papers and invention reports 
  • Present ideas/results from our activities to researchers 

REQUIRED SKILLS

Required Skills 

General qualifications 

  • Enrolled in a PhD or MSc program in electrical engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or another related field 
  • Good theoretical knowledge of robotics 
  • Hands-on skills with Robot Operating System (ROS) version 1 or 2) 
  • Experience with computer graphics and 3D modelling 
  • Ability to solve complex problems, analytical mindset, proactiveness and can-do attitude 
  • Excellent software development skills, primarily in Python, Typescript and Go 
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, excellent presentation skills 

Specific qualifications (would be nice to have any subset of the following) 

  • Knowledge of 3D development frameworks (any of Unity, Mindsphere, Omniverse) 
  • Internet of Things data collection platforms (any of Thingsboards, Home Assistant) 
  • Interest and skills in 
  • building /programming small robots 
  • developing microcontroller software
