Cat Digital is expanding its operations and opening a new branch in Slovakia. We are seeking talented individuals to join our team to help us establish and grow our presence, organization, culture, which will drive our digital product development efforts. What will you do? 

As a Lead Software Engineer you will do implementation, regular problem solving, maintenance and support for a agile software development of Caterpillar’s products as well as:

• Modifying, developing, writing and implementing software programming applications for target system utilizing agile methods and following technology base:
• Azure DevOps & GitHub Enterprise.
• Angular & Typescript, HTML 5, CSS.
• .NET including Service Fabric & Microsoft SQL Server skills is an advantage.
• Acquiring client requirements, resolving workflow problems through automation optimization.
• Writing source codes for new applications, and/or generating and enhancing code samples for existing applications.
• Utilizing automation testing tools to perform the testing and maintenance.

This position works directly with Slovakia based engineering leadership and Cat Digital IT in the US.

Extensive Experience with Software Development:

• Monitors effectiveness and quality of the development activities.
• Elaborates on multiple-development toolkits.
• Has participated in development of large software products.
• Estimates and monitors delivery, based on functional and technical requirements.

Working Knowledge of Software Integration Engineering:

• Has experience with designing data exchange.
• Describes tools and techniques for extraction, transformation and loading of data.
• Works on software integration into the customer or partner frameworks and infrastructure.

Extensive Experience with Software Product Design/Architecture:

• Demonstrates real experience with the architecture and design of major products.
• Explains design considerations of systems, databases and applications.
• Facilitates design reviews and walkthroughs.

Software Product Technical Knowledge:

• Participates in defining and conducting technical acceptance tests.
• Participates in creating technical requirements for software development and deployment.

Working Knowledge Software Testing:

• Participates in test readiness reviews, functional, volume, and load testing.
• Explains procedures for documenting test activities and results (e.g. errors, non-conformance, etc.)
• Conducts functional and performance testing on aspects of assigned products.
