About Position - Lead - Disease Area Marketing

Drive Marketing Excellence in Healthcare

Roche is committed to enhancing patient lives worldwide, and we are actively seeking a Disease Area Marketing Lead to advance our ambitions within the Roche Diagnostics India. In this role you will have a deep passion for healthcare marketing and lead teams towards transformative outcomes. You will be responsible for leading disease area squad, developing commercial disease strategy as well as driving it's execution for the responsible for various disease area across all customer areas. You will embrace the opportunity to lead a team of outstanding medical marketing partners, propelling strategic initiatives that will influence the future of healthcare across our disease area portfolios.

This Position reports to Head - Marketing based in Mumbai

Your Opportunity

(1) Product 

  • Co-create and implement marketing plans for Roche Disease Area marketing across Women’s Health, Infectious Diseases, Virology, Blood Screening, Oncology, Cardiology, Critical Care, Immunology and Instrumentation
  • Lead new product launches and strengthen our current portfolio 
  • Evaluate and assess potential new launches to further expand portfolio
  • Strengthen and develop KOL advocates to drive impact of focus parameters amongst key stakeholders
  • Developing crisp and impactful marketing collaterals for stakeholders- labs, clinicians, internal sales and RPS teams in collaboration with MSA, RA and Comms 
  • Initiate and monitor digital outreach campaigns to clinicians and labs via partnerships with external digital platforms
  • Lead DA relevant conferences, seminars, receptions and exhibitions to strengthen partnerships
  • Responsible for awareness programs and generation of leads
  • Represent affiliate in best practice sharing at APAC and global forums

(2) Liaising and networking

  • Responsible for working closely with External vendors, Logistics, RA, MSA, RPS, Supply Chain, Finance for marketing materials, inventory management, product registration, product related notifications, pricing and other audit requirements 

3) Commercial

  • Conduct market researches to gather specific insights on Roche value proposition via customer questionnaires and focus groups; survey on competitive prices, demand, value of product

(4) Customer 

  • Collaborate with sales to lead key customer pitches 
  • Drive monthly competitor attack campaigns with ready reckoner for sales and RPS 
  • Conduct Marketing/Scientific training programs for internal and external stakeholders followed by evaluation and monitoring
  • Collaborate with sales colleagues to retain and grow top customers and convert new opportunities 
  • Collaborate with CVS team to drive focus parameter revenue at target hospitals
  • Assist labs/hospitals in co-branding opportunities for focus parameters
  • Develop and drive differentiated marketing plans for govt. stakeholders in collaboration with sales

(5) Team

  • Co create and monitor marketing campaign impact dashboards 
  • Lead the marketing plan check-ins across stakeholders and strengthen cross functional collaboration 
  • Identify team strengths and development areas and assign specific projects to team to further develop skillsets.

Who You Are:

You will have a successful and considerable proven track record in leading people, preferably acquired in the healthcare industry. To be considered for this role, you will need Degree educated or equivalent in engineering, scientific or related field and to evidence your success in service delivery; a proven track record of developing strong relationships with key stakeholders to the highest decision making level leading to successful business outcomes. A strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to prioritize and deliver, you can drive change and adoption of new concepts.

With confidence and passion, you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to communicate with maximum impact. 

Resilient, tenacious, you strive under pressure, working effectively as part of a close-knit team in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines. With strong analytical skills, you are at ease working with technical and scientific information.

This position offers exposure to wider Roche organization at all levels and therefore you must have the qualities to make a positive, professional impact in a matrix environment and win the hearts and minds internally. 

As the Lead – Disease Area Marketing at Roche Diagnostics India & NM, you will be expected to demonstrate We@RD dimensions and help evolve the functions culture beliefs as part of the India journey.
