To strengthen our BDMC team (location: Zurich), we are looking for a dedicated business development manager (f/m/d) on a full- or part-time basis (80-100%) who can play a key role in the development of new business opportunities for our Firm.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

You support our partners in acquiring new clients and strategically developing existing clients, being responsible for the following:

• Developing compelling proposals and capability statements that address clients' needs and offer concrete solutions to their challenges
• Being involved in forward-looking planning for the strategic development of key clients
• Participating in regular feedback meetings with clients to check their satisfaction with our consulting services
• Cooperating with the Global Pitch & Pursuits Team on international and cross-practice group tenders and the continuous professionalization of the bidding process

You are the contact person and sounding board for the lawyers, offering them support in the following: 

• Researching trends and developing innovative advisory products for clients in selected industry sectors to expand and deepen our expertise
• Developing client plans that are tailored to the individual requirements of our clients
• Helping to design pricing strategies for tenders with a longer term and international focus, in collaboration with a global pricing team
• Preparing annual submissions for leading legal directories

Functional relationships with:

• BDMC team members in Switzerland 
• Members of the global/EMEA BDMC team
• Colleagues in Switzerland from HR, Operations, IT and Finance
• Partners and lawyers in Switzerland

What we are looking for: 

• Bachelor's and/or master's degree, preferably in business administration, law or a related field
• At least three years of professional experience in a similar role (a strong pitch focus would be considered an asset), preferably within the legal industry
• An excellent understanding of the Swiss market (including relevant industry sectors)
• Attention to detail
• Strong technical skills in relation to database work and MS Office products
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and German 
• Ability to work seamlessly across multiple cultures and time zones in a matrix organization
• Team spirit
