Position Overview
The Senior Director of Lifelong Learning and Continuing Education provides administrative leadership for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at UNT, as well as the University of North Texas Retiree Association (UNTRA). The senior director sets goals annually in collaboration with the Assistant Vice President of Donor Engagement and Advancement Services. The Senior Director oversees OLLI and UNTRA operations, curriculum, registration, revenue, and expenses, as well as managing the volunteer leadership of both groups. The Senior Director is in charge of recruiting faculty and community professionals to provide academic content, serving as the representative of OLLI at UNT and UNTRA, managing fundraising activities to remain self-supporting, increasing OLLI and UNTRA membership. The Senior Director is also responsible for all reporting related to fundraising activities, including the annual OSHER reporting.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in related field and six (6) years of administrative experience in an educational setting; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm with occasional nights and weekends. High volume times may require longer workdays.

Continue to enhance the membership and prestige of OLLI at UNT.

Work collaboratively with central development staff to secure funding.

Speaks about OLLI at UNT to various stakeholders, UNT community partners and the outside community

Oversees the University of North Texas Retiree Association and strives to grow engagement.
o
Prepares all reports needed for the OSHER Foundation and other donor entities.
o
Recruits current and retired faculty, as well as community volunteers to teach classes at OLLI at UNT.
o
Oversees budgets for OLLI at UNT and UNTRA.
o
Ensures that OLLI at UNT is self-sustaining by 2030.
