The role

At HelloFresh, the UX Writing team shapes consumer and enterprise interfaces across various brands. As their leader, you'll collaborate closely with UX Design, Product Management, and Engineering to refine processes and direct UX Writers towards impactful work. Your role involves leading strategic content initiatives and crafting superior microcopy. Moreover, you're tasked with advancing the team's and function's maturity by establishing frameworks that enhance communication quality and foster individual growth in their craft.

In this dual role, you'll lead a skilled team of UX Writers, as well as strategic content design projects, and sometimes directly contribute to writing tasks to support ongoing initiatives.

What you’ll do

• Enhance and uphold the HelloFresh UX Writing Tone Of Voice, guidelines, and standards to ensure consistent, delightful and trustworthy communication.
• Manage stakeholder understanding and expectation of the role and impact of UX Writing to create alignment and clarity on UX writing needs and ways of working.
• Lead your team in tackling complex and ambiguous content problems with UX methods to break them down and create testable hypotheses.
• Help your team to create and refine exceptional UX copy for our web and app interfaces, and collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to guarantee a high-quality implementation.
• Collaborate with and guide your team on working with UX research to validate copy hypotheses and generate a strong understanding of our customer’s communication needs.
• Participate in design and product reviews, offering feedback to improve team decision-making and work quality.
• Define different service levels of copy creation to support the various needs of the product organization and balance speed with quality.
• Collaborate with localization to ensure a high quality translation from the baseline language (US EN) into all different languages.

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years of experience in creating compelling, user-centric content and strategies for digital consumer products, demonstrated by a strong portfolio. 
• Superior writing and communication skills, excellent knowledge of the English language, grammar, punctuation, spelling. 
• Experience creating content according to brand standards, and defining style and tone of voice guidelines for user interfaces.
• Experience in leading and expanding a UX Writing team to new heights.
• Experience working in an agile environment, fostering collaboration and communication among design, research, product, and engineering teams.
• Ability to integrate UX writing efforts with broader business goals.
• Proficiency in Figma and comparable digital design tools, enhancing creative workflows.
