Data Scientist Manager- Azure Monitor

Join us to build the next generation of capabilities for Artificial Intelligence for IT Operations (AIOps), developing machine learning algorithms to scan vast data sources, identify service faults and generate insights for Azure users to gain powerful ways to improve service quality and reliability. We are building a new way to investigate service issues by creating advanced anomaly detection, across a wide set of Azure resources and application workloads and using LLM for creating AI-generated Insight providing an actionable summary of what happened, possible causes, and a set of next steps helping users resolve the issue. 

Data Scientist Manager responsibilities include managing the data science team, planning projects, and building analytics models. You should have a strong problem-solving ability and a knack for statistical analysis. If you’re also able to align our data products with our business goals, we’d like to meet you. 

  • Build, mentor, and lead a diverse high-performance team of Data Scientists 
  • Developing novel machine learning and data mining algorithms 
  • Contribute ideas and techniques to shape decisions and improve product quality metrics. 
  • Participate in design, implementation, and execution with a team of engineers, applied scientists and product managers. 
  • Collaborate with Program Managers, Architects and stakeholders for workforce planning, demand planning and end-to-end solution design 
  • Create clarity, generate energy and deliver the impact 
  • Ensuring compliance with Security, Privacy, GDPR etc. and performance criteria 
  • Use data and insights from customer and production to contribute to technical design and implementation decisions 
  • Driving the right trade-offs and the right business impact through the application of data science across high-scale services. 
  • Driving a vision, the ownership of a roadmap, setting goals and delivering results, as committed. 
  • Leading and driving consensus on complex decisions across upper management, team, and cross-organizational stakeholders. 
  • MSc Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics or similar field 
  • 5 year of experience as Data Science 
  • 3+ years people-management experience 
  • Experience in Anomaly detection domain. 
  • Experience with LLMs and NLP – an Advantage. 
  • Good knowledge of Python. 
  • Experience with C# - an Advantage. 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • A business mindset 
  • Prior experience with cloud technology (Microsoft Azure / AWS / Google Cloud)
