About the role

As a Product Owner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the value and vision of our product offerings. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, designers, data analysts, and business stakeholders, to define and prioritize product features, ensuring that our solutions align with customer expectations and our business objectives. Your expertise in the fintech domain will be instrumental in driving the success of our products in the market.

What the role involves:

Vision

  • Product Strategy and Vision: Define and communicate the product strategy, vision, and roadmap based on market trends, customer insights, and business goals.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams, to understand their requirements and priorities, and ensure effective coordination and communication throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Product Planning and Prioritization: Lead the product planning process by translating business objectives into actionable product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Prioritize features and enhancements based on customer feedback, market analysis, and strategic objectives.

Ownership

  • Translate the vision of the product and its subsequent versions into individual elements of the Product Backlog and place them on the development roadmap,
  • Manage Product Backlog: create detailed, well-organized, and granularly split Product Backlog items,
  • Assure the quality of prepared user stories including technical details when necessary. Those can be gathered as the result of an event storming session, consultation with a Tech Lead or any other appropriate source,
  • Work to estimate delivery dates with Tech Lead (and developers),
  • Communicate estimated delivery dates for the next stages of projects. Consult priorities if they are impossible to achieve,
  • Responsible for Agile events: planning, review and refinement process,
  • Define the vision and purpose of the product on the basis of own knowledge, market research, competition research and consultation with internal and external clients,
  • Care for the product vision and the implementation of business requirements during the development process,
  • Suggest new potential products and projects with a well defined business case,
  • Understand business processes and analyze data to correctly assess further product development needs,
  • Supervise the quality of delivered solutions i.e. establish metrics & monitor current status of the app. Take responsibility for implementing improvements and have awareness of technical excellence,
  • Create and manage product documentation.

Learning

  • You will have the opportunity to learn about various global solutions in the account-to-account payments space and cash management.
  • You will gain insights into the complexities of the payment processor industry.
  • You will familiarize yourself with how a product-driven organization operates and identify potential process improvements.
  • You will take part in the various learning initiatives of the Product team including conferences, and a book club.

Teamwork

  • You will collaborate closely with the Product team to make sure that your product fits the overall company strategy.
  • You will collaborate with other departments (integration, sales, operations) to ensure that our outside communication matches what our product does.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of direct experience in independent IT product management position(s), confirmed with successful implementations.
  • Hands-on experience with Payments domain or Open Banking.
  • Excellent written and spoken English (all documentation is written in English).
  • Good interpersonal communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts.
  • Knowledge of Scrum and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong organizational and self motivation skills.
  • You thrive in the fast-paced and challenging environment of a startup (getting things done mentality).
  • You can organize and structure your own projects effectively.
  • You are a team player and enjoy working with a strong team.
  • You are curious and enjoy discussing solutions with the team.
  • You promptly address ad-hoc issues to keep things running smoothly.

What happens next?

  • Selected candidates will be invited for an initial interview with our People & Culture representative. The video meeting will take about 45 minutes,
  • We will ask you to prepare a task which will help us check your Business Analysis skills,
  • Then it’s time for a second interview! The meeting will be conducted by our VP of Product and Head of Agile and will last 1 hour,
  • Our Chief Operating Officer would also like to chat with you :) You can expect the meeting to last approximately 30 minutes,
  • We might ask you to provide contact to two former colleagues/managers to collect references,
  • If successful, you will be given a job offer proposal.
