Your Job

The GPA (Government and Public Affairs) Specialist plays a critical role in supporting INVISTA’s government and public affairs initiatives. The specialist will be responsible for managing relationships with government officials, implementing government relations strategies, developing and executing public affairs strategies, managing internal and external communications, managing communications, and engaging with various stakeholders to promote the company's interests.

What You Will Do

  • Government Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with government officials, industry associations, and relevant stakeholders to effectively represent the company's positions and navigate the political landscape.
  • Public Policy Monitoring: Stay informed about related public policy issues, monitor legislative and regulatory developments, and provide insights and recommendations to inform the company's positions and advocacy efforts.
  • Media Relations: Cultivate relationships with media outlets, respond to media inquiries, coordinate interviews, and draft press releases to secure positive media coverage and enhance the company's public image.
  • Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR): Contribute to the development and implementation of CSR initiatives, ensuring alignment with the company's values and objectives, and effectively communicate these commitments to stakeholders.
  • Crisis Management: Coordinate responses to manage and mitigate potential reputation risks. Act as a point of contact during crises, ensuring timely and accurate communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Interpretation & Translation: Provide simultaneous or consecutive interpretation during meetings, conferences, interviews, presentations, or other events. Ensure accurate and culturally sensitive communication while maintaining the speaker's tone and context. Translate written content, such as documents, reports, manuals, websites, marketing materials, and other texts, from the source language to the target language while preserving the original meaning and intent.
  • Administrative support to GPA team and other assigned work.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • 5 years of working experience in government & public affairs, including government affairs, public affairs, and communication.
  • Fluency and proficiency in English
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships, and influence stakeholders effectively and ability to tailor messages to different audiences and channels.
  • Analytical mindset, with ability to interpret data and insights to inform communication strategies and decision-making.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Ethical conduct and a commitment to operating with integrity.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor's degree in communication, public relations, public policy, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Work experience in Government, or media, or PR(Public Relation agency), or MNCs (Multinational companies).
