We are looking for a Cloud Engineer who can design, implement, and maintain our cloud infrastructure to support our organization's growth and innovation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for continuous learning. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions that meet business requirements.
This is for a short term / hourly based project.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions using leading cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Implement and maintain cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, databases, and security, based on industry best practices and organizational requirements.
Develop and automate cloud deployment, configuration, and management processes using infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager (ARM).
Optimize cloud resources for performance, cost, and scalability, leveraging services such as auto-scaling, load balancing, and serverless computing.
Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, and security, and implement proactive measures to ensure uptime and compliance.
Implement security controls and best practices to protect cloud infrastructure and data, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security.
Collaborate with development teams to support cloud-native application development, containerization, and microservices architecture.
Provide technical expertise and support for cloud-related projects, migrations, and initiatives.
Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure and application issues, working closely with internal teams and cloud service providers.
Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies, trends, and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a related role.
Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, architectures, and services offered by major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure automation and orchestration tools, such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager.
Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes is a plus.
Knowledge of DevOps principles and practices, including continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
Familiarity with cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., CIS Benchmarks, GDPR, HIPAA).
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive resolution.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
