Demand Planner

Pomeroy is looking to add a motivated and experienced Demand Planner to our Retail Depot team. In this role you will analyze and forecast customer demand and develop strategies to meet customer requirements as well as provide weekly schedules to Repair and 3rd party Repair vendors based on demand and historical data. Also, the ideal candidate has experience collaborating with sales, marketing, and operations teams to forecast customer orders and develop a supply chain strategy to meet those demands. The Demand Planner will also be responsible for analyzing customer trends and developing strategies to maximize customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience (Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field) required
  • Min. 3 years’ service parts logistics/supply chain experience in an OEM or 3rd party field service organization required
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience required and advanced excel skills required
  • SIMS (Service Information Management System) experience, required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, required
  • Superb customer service skills for interacting with internal and external customers, required
  • Familiarity with electronic terminology and electronic components in a field service environment
  • Experience in scheduling, forecasting, procurement and/or planning, highly desired
  • Strong sense of urgency and retail business orientation a must
  • Ability to think strategically and conceptually while managing details
  • Ability to work independently day-to-day while being a strong team player
  • Report results and analyses that will provide management with information to make sound business decisions on repairs and inventory

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Identify and assist in sparing deficiencies.
  • Review historical parts movement trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
  • Interact with Purchasing and Technology Engineering for communication, problem resolution and supply consulting in a highly responsive and proactive manner.
  • Interact with sales and finance to understand demand forecast drivers
  • Coordinate parts planning endeavors for New Customer/Product Startup phase to support status.
  • Random audits on the planning system to validate accurate data for current environment.
  • Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach to ensure sparing needs are met
  • Become proficient in SIMS (Service Information Management System) Planning Module
  • Assist with Maintaining Master Records in SIMS
  • Provide input to the field staff regarding setting of manual parts stocking minimums.
  • Prepare monthly cost and inventory analysis for Finance.
  • ADHOC reporting needs as required by the business.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

General office environment Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
