Supplier relationship management is one of the key levers to build competitive advantage and we are looking for a passionate, energetic and enthusiastic Supplier Relationship Manager to join the global procurement team. The foundation has been laid but we need you to support us to continue to build DHL’s supplier relationship management program and to support the organization to bring it to life whilst ensuring DHL Group policies and standards are observed.

Job Purpose:

As a Supplier Relationship Manager you will be responsible for identifying and implementing best practices in Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) to ensure a supplier base that is future-fit, meeting required quality standards, on time, and within budget. You will play a crucial role in creating SRM materials, templates, and processes, while continually analyzing and improving the supplier portfolio. The role involves monitoring strategic suppliers, collaborating with category sourcing managers, and supporting various supplier-related initiatives.

Your tasks:

• Identify and implement best practices in SRM to ensure a future-fit supplier base.
• Develop SRM materials, templates, and processes, such as joint business development plans, SOPs, and playbooks.
• Continuously analyze the supplier portfolio, ensuring correct segmentation and recommending improvements in relationship maturity.
• Monitor the status of strategic suppliers, focusing on performance, value creation, and adherence to minimum standards.
• Align category sourcing strategies and SRM programs, collaborating with category sourcing managers.
• Support and interact with suppliers in conjunction with contract owners.
• Develop and deliver training and on-the-job coaching to the sourcing organization.
• Track milestones, monitor progress against the SRM Masterplan, and address deviations to minimize delays.
• Support DHL Deal Days and other supplier-related events.
• Develop reporting demonstrating the impact of the new way of working.
• Ensure timely escalation in your area of responsibility and implement risk mitigation action plans.
• Present and explain relevant topics to impacted stakeholders.

Your profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, International Management, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience/qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in Supplier Relationship Management 
• Advanced Excel knowledge 
• Knowledge and experience in project management, including coordinating and facilitating skills.
• International analytical mindset with strong social skills and cross-cultural awareness.
• High level of organizational skills, autonomy, task prioritization, and time management.
• Pragmatic, process, and results-oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Decision-making ability, creative problem-solving, and innovative thinking.
• Productive team player with a positive attitude and ability to share ideas.
