Job Description

As an Electronics Engineer, you will report to the Senior Manager, Global Product Support and will be based in our office in Leuven. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring operational efficiency of our sorting technology worldwide. You will be instrumental in preparing parts and assemblies used by our service engineers for maintenance and repair tasks.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the quality team to inspect, repair, and manage returned parts, both internally and with our suppliers.
  • Work closely with the engineering department to enhance designs and develop test systems.
  • (Pre-)Program electronics boards, industrial PCs and electronic devices.
  • Construct assemblies to be used in the field by service engineers.
  • Act as a liason between our service organisation and the supplier for repair matters.
  • Design and implement test jigs and tools, in collaboration with R&D, to streamline troubleshooting and programming. 
  • Participate in the global RMA, managing parts sent from other hubs for repair.
  • Contribute to the assembly of prototype machines.

Qualifications

About You:

  • Bachelor degree in Electro-IT Engineering or relevant experience.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills in electronics.
  • Proficiency in computer hardware and configuration.
  • Extensive knowledge of IP and its applications, including IP routing protocols, LAN/WAN switching, 4G/5G, WiFi and VPN solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail and structured work approach.
  • Familiarity with industrial programming tools.
  • Fluent in English.
