Position Purpose: As a Technical Product Owner at Beeline, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development and enhancement of our software products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, designers, and business stakeholders, to define and prioritize product features, ensure alignment with business goals, and deliver high-quality software solutions. Your role will involve translating business requirements into technical specifications, guiding the development team, and serving as a liaison between business and technology functions.

Responsibilities:

Product Definition and Roadmap:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers, and architects to define product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and user stories, ensuring clear and actionable guidance for the development team.
  • Prioritize product features and enhancements based on business value, customer needs, and technical feasibility.

Agile Development and Sprint Planning:

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives, working closely with the development team.
  • Collaborate with software engineers and designers to refine user stories, estimate effort, and ensure a clear understanding of technical requirements.
  • Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators, and proactively address any blockers or risks that may impact delivery timelines.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for technical aspects of the product, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration between business stakeholders, development team members, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status, progress, and any changes to scope, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing:
  • Work closely with quality assurance teams to define acceptance criteria, review test plans, and ensure comprehensive test coverage for new features and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with users and business stakeholders to conduct user acceptance testing, gather feedback, and iterate on product improvements.
  • Ensure adherence to software development best practices, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Product Owner or similar role, preferably in a software-as-a-service (SaaS) or technology company.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, and experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Excellent technical and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into clear and actionable technical specifications.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders, including business users, developers, and designers.
  • Experience with user-centered design principles and practices, and the ability to advocate for a seamless user experience.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle, software engineering principles, and quality assurance processes.
  • Familiarity with product management tools, such as JIRA or similar, and proficiency in Agile project management methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity, prioritize tasks, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Knowledge of contingent workforce, talent management, or procurement industry is advantageous.
