40-hour social work position to provide a range of clinical services within our Division of Infectious Diseases. The Division of Infectious Diseases at Boston Children’s Hospital cares for children and adolescents with a variety of infections. In addition to treating children, we also are dedicated to researching better ways to diagnose, treat, and prevent infectious diseases. This social worker will treat both perinatal and general infectious disease patients.

This Infectious Diseases Clinical Social Worker will be responsible for:

• Providing clinical social work services to assist patients and families with personal, family, medical and environmental difficulties.
• Performing psychosocial and risk assessments, assigning diagnoses and developing and implementing interventions and treatment plans.
• Participating in planning and implementation of discharge and outpatient service plans and collaborates with health care team and community agencies to plan
• Implementing and following up on treatment and provision of needed services.

To qualify, you must have:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, and LCSW or LICSW is required.
• Experience in medical environment preferred
• Knowledge of child development, excellent communication skills, flexibility and ability to work in fast-paced environment.

This position is eligible for a $5,000 sign on bonus!

Schedule is M-F 8:30am -5pm
