What you will do

The Senior IoT Architect will be a key member of the Technology & Architecture Team for Connected Services, reporting to the Director, Technology & Architecture. In this position, you’ll have a unique opportunity to join a newly created business unit and shape solutions for the fast-evolving low voltage space.

How you will do it

  • Collaborate and drive the technical vision for IoT/AI Platform based.
  • Work closely with the Technical Lead and Director, ML/AI in all aspects of data, like Connect and automate the pipelines, data processing through streaming cluster, provide data as products building data lake, data warehouse and data mart, and data cleansing and data governance developing big data engineering, Machine Learning and advanced analytics solutions.
  • Leads the design and implementation of Clarios’ Connected Services Cloud and SaaS software technology.
  • Responsible for both software and system architecture, implementation in collaboration with the AI/ML and IT teams.
  • Define and implement containerization strategies. Create reproducible and scalable environments by designing, building, and maintaining highly available systems using Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Engage with multiple teams both inside and outside to work on the execution of the technical vision and develop a digital product.
  • Lead team to Implement solutions that eliminate or minimize technical debt through a well-designed architecture, data model, and lifecycle.
  • Designs, and develops cloud, edge computing systems with mobile and web end-user experiences by integrating various data sources.
  • Help advance the research and science that will differentiate our product as a leader in the digital space.
  • Drive architecture as a discipline within our group.
  • Bring together and share best-practice knowledge among the data engineering community.
  • Detail out and refine higher-level architecture decisions into a lower-level executional design.

What we look for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronic & Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a comparable degree
  • Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience to include a solid knowledge of design and implementation experience in sensor data integration, edge computing, data architecture, digital product development, across cloud computing, streaming data processing, and analytics architecture development, and systems development in the automotive industry.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, AWS) are a plus.
  • Hands-on expertise in enterprise technology streaming data processing and analytics applications architecture, design, development, and support. Azure is preferred.
  • Proficiency with full stack development.
  • Experience with modern data platforms and architecture
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with onsite and offshore teams.
  • Ability to work closely with customers and communicate in non-technical language.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment.
