In Ukraine, Tetra Tech implements the USAID Energy Security Project (ESP), a seven-year project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the largest USAID project in Ukraine so far. USAID ESP’s mission is to enhance Ukraine’s energy security, improve the energy legal and regulatory environment in the country, and increase the resilience of Ukraine’s energy supply to support the country’s economic development and sustain its democracy. Tetra Tech is working closely with the Government of Ukraine to develop competitive energy markets and facilitate private sector-led energy investments to provide affordable, reliable, resilient, and secure energy for all Ukrainians. This project is expected to run through June 2025. 

Project Responsibilities

Tetra Tech seeks an experienced professional to serve as Editor and Reporting Specialist for USAID ESP. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the clarity and quality of project deliverables by proofreading and editing English language products, including reports, presentations, social media, briefing memos, and other resources requested by the client. The Editor and Reporting Specialist will also lead the development and preparation of weekly, quarterly, and annual reports; assist technical teams to develop impact highlights for reports; develop and manage tracking and reporting tools; and maintain relevant files and monitoring and evaluation data.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least five years of technical writing, editing, and/or communications experience in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Experience and familiarity with multiple types of editing, including proofreading, copyediting and substantive editing. 
  • Demonstrated ability to edit a range of technical documents (e.g., reports, proposals, brochures, articles, presentations, blogs, social media). 
  • Demonstrated experience in reporting for USAID, and knowledge of USAID reporting requirements and branding requirements (ADS 320). 
  • Demonstrated ability to apply client style and branding guidelines. 
  • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel. 
  • Experience editing content under tight deadlines. 
  • Extreme precision and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to work well with people of different backgrounds, personalities, experiences, and levels of authority. 
  • Excellent multitasking and prioritizing skills. 

Valued Qualifications 

  • Experience writing or editing energy sector content.
  • Experience working with dispersed and/or international teams via email, cloud collaboration, and applications such as Microsoft Teams to coordinate assignments and deliverables.
  • Ability to maintain working hours that align with Eastern European Time.
  • Professional proficiency in Ukrainian.
