About the role

  • Product Cyber Security Lead Engineer:

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • 6+ years of total experience and strong expertise in product cyber security
  • Grow and maintain a program that advises leadership of the top security risks and overall security health of the products
  • Hands-on position involving penetration testing activities of products, complex applications, operating systems, wired and wireless networks, and mobile applications/devices.
  • Develop, maintain & track security testing plans.
  • Develop metrics to reflect the security posture of the environment allowing stakeholders to make educated decisions based on Cyber risk.
  • Produce actionable, threat-based, reports on security testing results.
  • Build and execute engineering processes for early detection of design flaws, vulnerabilities, weaknesses, and missing security controls.
  • Collaborate with engineering and other stakeholders to ensure security assurance tasks are completed throughout the development lifecycle and effective security mitigations are integrated into the product.
  • Own Product Security activities such as threat modelling, security assurance testing, cyber risk assessment, security reviews, and threat vulnerability assessment for all offerings.
  • Ensure product compliance with applicable security standards, policies, and best practice. Stay informed of industry trends that may inform work 
  • Initiate and manage security assessments and drive remediation and security controls validation.
  • May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience in application penetration testing (Embedded SW, Web, Mobile, thick client, IoT) with tools such as but not limited to...Kali Linux, Burpsuite, Metasploit, Acunetix, Nessus, etc.
  • Have knowledge and experience in OWASP Top 10 or SANS Top 25
  • In-depth knowledge of development processes and at least one programing or scripting language (e.g., Python, PowerShell, NodeJS, C#, C++)
  • Mentor and assist product development engineers with implementing and maintaining secure software design lifecycle (SSDLC)
  • Diverse technical domain experience (ex., Embedded, Enterprise, Mobile, Cloud, etc.) added advantage.
  • Good to have certifications such as CEH, OSCP, CSSLP, CISSP, CCSP, CCSK etc.,

Experienced Cybersecurity professional. Collects data from a variety of Computer Network Defence (CND) tools, including intrusion detection system alerts, firewall and network traffic logs, and host system logs to analyse events that occur within their environment.

Job Description

  • Coordinates, designs and develops new systems, applications, and solutions for cybersecurity platforms
  • Coordinates the integration of new cyber architectural features into existing infrastructures.
  • Provides architectural analysis of cybersecurity solutions and relates existing systems to future needs and trends.
  • Recommends incident response procedures and researches potential network vulnerabilities.
  • Coordinates identity access management initiatives internally. Participates in internal and external cyber audits.

Minimum Requirements

Requires advanced knowledge obtained through a University degree, combined with experience

Practical to substantial knowledge of Carrier organization, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work

University Degree or equivalent

A minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience

OR

An advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years experience
